After receiving his BS in Computer Information Systems from DeVry in Columbus Ohio, Matthew Rasey worked as a programmer/analyst for 15 years. In 2008 he decided to try something new, another path, one that would make him happy. In early 2009 he began studying massage therapy at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine. At the same time he became a Reiki Level I initiate under Reiki Master Clara Bayer ND. In late November Matthew completed his massage therapy training and became a Reiki Master. After relocating to Washington in 2011 he became an LMT (state license MA 60173743).
